A teacher working across theatre formats
Teaching artist Brendan Powers has worked in regional theatre for more than 25 years. He is a member of Actors’ Equity and a longtime member of the acting ensemble at Florida Repertory Theatre. His experience also includes teaching acting workshops and serving as artistic director of Niagara University’s Theatre Studies department.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Powers and his wife, actor Rachel Burttram, created tiny_Theatre, presenting play readings on Facebook Live. The project featured more than 200 current playwrights across more than 300 episodes and was covered by American Theatre magazine. It later expanded into three interactive online murder mysteries the couple made for Airbnb Online Experiences. Powers’s screen credits include Graceland and Bloodline, as well as more than a dozen Alabama Tourism Road Trips commercials.

A calendar listing does not confirm that late enrollment is possible.
