Pianists can bring prepared work for public coaching, or attend as observers for five live sessions. The listing gives two ticket options but no repertoire or individual session times.
All times are local to the venue · America/New York
The central choice at Manqing Bian’s Nov. 8 masterclass is whether to bring a piece for feedback or follow five coaching sessions from the audience. The public format makes the event as much about watching musical instruction as taking part in it.
The participant option is for a pianist who wants feedback on prepared work. Bian will coach the player for 30 minutes in front of the audience, and participants are asked to prepare one or two pieces. The ticket also includes admission to the full masterclass.
Because the coaching takes place publicly, this option suits someone comfortable playing while receiving feedback in the room. It is a different role from private instruction.

Observers can attend five live coaching sessions and hear discussion of technique, interpretation and musical expression. The event page says listeners do not need piano experience or formal music study.
No repertoire, participant names or session-by-session running order is announced, so the audience ticket is a way to follow the teaching rather than choose among named works.

The event identifies Bian as a pianist and educator who teaches in Columbia University’s Music Education program. It also notes performances at Carnegie Hall, Kaufman Music Center and OPERA America. That background gives context for the coach, but does not establish what music will be heard at this session.
