After Dark Halloween invites adults to spend an evening at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine while supporting access for children and families. The Portland event on October 29, 2026, is for guests ages 21 and older, with proceeds going to the museum’s Community Fund.
Exploring the museum after hours
A ticket includes access to three floors of exhibits and activities, with trick-or-treating throughout the museum. One activity is Hoot & Howl, an interactive gesture-animation experience provided courtesy of Chroma2Four and MECA&D students.
There’s also dancing with DJ Nate and live entertainment by Chartreuse Money and Bunny Wonderland. The event runs for three hours, but individual entertainment times have not been announced.
