At Southwest Regional, Baby Storytime treats early literacy as more than reading aloud: its advertised mix also includes play, songs, rhymes and movement. The library says those activities are intended to nurture a love of reading and build pre-literacy skills.
The combination of books and movement gives families a clear sense of the session’s scope: stories are joined by several kinds of early-learning activity. The listing names these elements but does not describe a sequence, so visitors should not expect a more specific format than the library has announced.

The calendar categorizes the program broadly for infants, toddlers and preschoolers ages 0–5, while the event description says it is for infants through 24 months. Families deciding whether the session fits should follow that more specific age guidance.
