South Boston Lithuanian Citizens’ Association was formed in 1899 to foster social and cultural opportunities and civic participation among newly arrived Lithuanian-American immigrants. Its four-story building includes commercial office space, banquet halls, and a Lithuanian restaurant and bar in the basement. That history helps explain the venue’s role in the neighborhood; it does not mean those other spaces or services are part of CiderFeast.
