Wednesday sessions at Fairdale pair shared books with songs, movement and play. The listing gives two different age ranges, so families should check which applies before attending.

A book is one part of the hour at Fairdale: Louisville Free Public Library describes a family session that also brings in songs, movement and play. The mix makes this a shared activity for children and caregivers, with learning—not a named book or a fixed lesson plan—as its stated aim.
The library outlines four elements: books shared together, songs, movement and play. That combination extends the session beyond listening to a story, while keeping the focus on taking part together.
Louisville Free Public Library says the activities are intended to support a lasting love of learning. The listing does not name particular books or provide an order for the activities, so it describes the format rather than a specific lesson.
