Hail Britannia moves from songs associated with London’s West End to orchestral and choral works in a British-themed Hendricks Symphony concert. The program comes to Hendricks Live! for a Friday evening and a Sunday afternoon performance.
The orchestra and chorus will perform selections from Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, with two featured soloists taking on individual songs. Soprano Alex Marie Gray is scheduled to sing “Memory” from Cats; tenor Sam Hinkle will sing “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables.
This is a concert drawing on musical-theater scores rather than a staged production of either show. Destination Indy also mentions Gilbert and Sullivan, though it does not name a particular selection.

The announced repertoire also includes Mendelssohn’s Fingal’s Cave, Holst’s The Planets and Handel’s Zadok the Priest. Together, those choices broaden the bill beyond the musicals, bringing orchestral and choral music into the same concert.
The Indianapolis 500 Gordon Pipers, a Celtic bagpipe and drum corps, are also scheduled to appear. Their guest spot adds pipes and drums to a program centered on the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
