The Cow Palace has two different holiday gatherings on Saturday, November 28: Festival of Trees during the day, followed by Kennedy Krieger’s Tinsel on Tap from 7 to 10 p.m. The evening party is for adults 21 and over, with ID required at the door.
Tinsel on Tap’s second edition gives the festival an after-hours format: Charm City Trivia hosts holiday trivia, while a live DJ and dancing offer a different way to spend the evening. The Holly Jolly Style Contest adds a fashion element; there are also photo opportunities, including a booth, and a marketplace with local vendors.
The ticket includes two drinks, with nonalcoholic mocktails and soda among the choices alongside cocktails and beer. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase, so guests can plan separately for anything beyond the included drinks.

Tinsel on Tap is part of Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees, a three-day Thanksgiving-weekend fundraiser for its patients, students and programs. During the daytime festival, the Cow Palace displays and sells designer-decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses created by local artists, florists, schools and community groups.
Families considering both events should plan for different audiences and tickets. Saturday’s daytime festival ends at 6 p.m.; Tinsel on Tap begins at 7 p.m. and has its own ticket. On Sunday, WTMD’s all-ages Sunday Morning Tunes Holiday Princess Singalong is another separately ticketed choice, with festival admission included in that special ticket.
