Vinyasa links postures with breath. At Denver Botanic Gardens’ York Street lunchtime class, the Gardens describes that approach as suitable for all skill levels, with modifications and variations rather than a published, fixed pose sequence.
The Gardens describes the class as a moving meditation that encourages focus and body awareness. Its outline names a range of aims and elements, including endurance, flexibility and balance across body, breath and mind; it does not specify the order or intensity of poses. The offer of modifications and variations gives participants a sense of the class’s flexibility, but anyone who needs a particular accommodation should contact the Gardens ahead of time.

Instructor Rya Merschat holds E-RYT 200, RYT 500 and YACEP credentials. The Gardens identifies her as an experienced registered yoga teacher and Yoga Alliance continuing education provider; she has taught and practiced in Denver since 1994.
The Gardens characterizes Merschat’s teaching as alignment-based, nurturing and mindful, and notes that her approach draws on her professional dance background. Those details offer more guidance about the class’s teaching style than a pose-by-pose plan, which the listing does not provide.
