A long-running fair in Central Montana

The Montana Winter Fair dates to 1946 and was held in Bozeman through 2002, when it moved to Lewistown. The annual fair describes a program of more than 20 events across several Lewistown venues, organized by hundreds of Central Montana volunteers with support from local sponsors. That broader format provides context for the Expo, but it is not a confirmed schedule for every part of the 2027 fair.

The fair describes participants coming from Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota and beyond. Lewistown sits near Montana’s geographic center; the town’s history runs from mining to its present-day agricultural character.
