Belmont Library’s Halloween edition of Music and Dance gives children a chance to sing and move with their grown-ups before showing off costumes in a parade around the library.
A Halloween twist on Music and Dance
The program is designed for children from birth through age 6 and their parents or caregivers. Songs, rhymes, rhythm and dancing make it an active storytime, with the costume parade taking place at the end.
Families with a one-year-old have another option at the same branch earlier that morning: Tiny Tots Halloween Storytime, a separate program with songs, movement, books and playtime. It runs from 10:15 to 11 a.m.; Music and Dance is the later program for the broader birth-to-6 age range.
