The Taproom at Old Town advertises an open mic that reaches beyond acoustic music: spoken word and comedy share the format, and listeners are welcome alongside people who want to perform.
The event is described as taking place on a patio stage, with an invitation to sing, play, read or perform. That range makes the evening relevant to people looking for spoken-word or comedy as well as acoustic music, though the listing does not say that every form will appear at each weekly gathering.
The event welcomes people who want to listen, too. For Tuesday, November 3, the advertised categories describe the open-mic format rather than a confirmed lineup.
