Adults are expected to stay engaged with their child, making Preschool Story Times a shared activity rather than a drop-off program. Its announced format goes beyond a read-aloud, combining books with songs, movement and literacy activities.
Louisville Free Public Library describes the program as a way to foster a love of reading while encouraging school-readiness skills. The event details specify ages 3–5; although the calendar’s broader age-group label includes children ages 0–5, families should use the narrower age range in the program description when deciding whether it fits.
