Storytime takes a Halloween turn at Albina Library on October 31, with a reading focused on LGBTQ+ families followed by a parade around the library. Rainbow Family Costume Storytime invites children from birth through age 6 to attend with a favorite adult and wear a costume.
From storytime to a library parade
The costume program makes room for its parade by shortening the storytime itself. Families can expect the reading first and the parade afterward; the library has not announced particular books.
There is a separate listing for a regular Rainbow Family Storytime at Albina at the same hour, and that event is marked canceled. The costume storytime is listed separately and is not marked canceled.
