The November fair brings more than 200 curated artists to Chelsea. A printmaker and a ceramics studio offer two ways to follow the work behind the objects.

A circular map of Portland helped launch Archie’s Press; a meeting at Pratt Institute led to the Brooklyn ceramics studio Franca NYC. Both businesses are on the roster for Renegade Craft Fair New York, an early holiday shopping weekend at Metropolitan Pavilion on November 14–15, 2026.
Archie’s Press, listed at booth 31, grew from designer and printer Archie Archambault’s attempt to make sense of Portland after he found himself getting lost there. His circular map became the starting point for a practice that now includes maps of other places and subjects, with simplified forms intended to show how their parts connect.
For city maps, Archambault says he speaks with residents and consults both current and older maps. His approach is less about giving turn-by-turn directions than about making a place’s overall structure easier to grasp. For a shopper interested in prints, that makes the choice of subject only part of the appeal: the way the information is organized matters too.
Archie’s Press also works in letterpress. The process presses a raised surface into paper, leaving a physical impression. Archambault says he learned design in a letterpress shop and that its attention to layout and spacing continues to influence him. The roster does not specify which designs will be at the November fair.

Franca NYC, listed at booth 12, is a women-owned Brooklyn studio that makes ceramics by hand. Founders Jazmin de la Guardia and Sierra Yip-Bannicq met at Pratt Institute, where de la Guardia studied art and Yip-Bannicq studied industrial design. Franca credits de la Guardia’s training with helping shape its patterning, while Yip-Bannicq has developed an interest in new materials and production methods.
The studio’s name refers to the idea of a shared language across backgrounds. De la Guardia was born in Paraguay and grew up with a mother from Uruguay and a father from Cuba; Yip-Bannicq grew up in Beijing and describes roots in Chinese and French culture. Those histories and their different courses of study are part of the partnership behind Franca, rather than an explanation for any particular piece.
For another perspective on useful design, KAEIU is listed at booth 155. The New York City handbag brand emphasizes functionality in its styles. The two businesses offer a way to browse across materials and uses: consider a handmade ceramic object at one stop and an accessory designed for carrying things at another, then ask about the work each has brought.

Renegade advertises more than 200 curated artists for the indoor Chelsea fair. Its team produces, juries and curates its events in-house; artists founded the organization in 2003, and it has since established marketplaces in cities including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle. The November gathering is a shopping fair organized around creative businesses, rather than a timed performance program.
The organizer’s roster and floor plan can help narrow a large field. Save a business name along with its booth number: Brooke Schneider Ceramics and Brooklyn Misomaru are both listed at booth 44, while AFTERSCHOOL SNACKS and SAPNA JEWELRY both appear at booth 158. Philtre Coffee’s listing directs visitors to the map instead of giving a booth number.
Check the current roster and confirm positions onsite. A listing is an announced plan, not a guarantee of attendance or a catalog of what will be available. Renegade also lists a New York fair at Metropolitan Pavilion on December 5–6; that is a separate edition, so the November roster should not be assumed to apply.

Not always. Some numbers appear beside more than one business, so keep the maker’s name as well as the booth number.
