The live-album material points to songs that can stretch beyond their studio arrangements: “Lose You” builds momentum, while “Sweet Southern Sounds” makes room for guitar phrasing inspired by North Mississippi blues. That offers a frame for Samantha Fish’s Paper Doll Live tour, not a forecast of what she will play in Hartford.
Infinity Music Hall describes Paper Doll Live as Fish’s first official live album, recorded at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee. The venue’s account emphasizes how songs can change in performance: endings may be extended or reshaped, and the title track is presented as a defiant song about refusing to conform. Those details explain the tour’s album framing, but the Hartford listing does not publish a setlist.
The McCrary Sisters sing on the recording. Their contribution belongs to the album’s history; they are not named on the Hartford bill.

Infinity’s biography connects Fish to Kansas City’s blues lineage and names Prince, Leonard Cohen and Mississippi Hill Country blues among her influences. It also notes that her nine-song studio album Paper Doll earned her second GRAMMY nomination. That background helps explain the range of references surrounding the tour without implying which songs or arrangements will appear in this performance.
