In STG’s Bellevue Dance for PD® class, live music accompanies movement work that can be done seated or standing. The class is designed for people with Parkinson’s disease and focuses on movement concerns including balance, flexibility, coordination and gait.
STG describes the class as a way to explore dance and music while addressing concerns associated with Parkinson’s disease, including balance, flexibility, coordination, gait and isolation. These are the program’s areas of focus, not a promise of clinical results.
Participants can move seated or standing, and no dance experience is needed. Live music is part of the class itself, accompanying the movement rather than appearing as a separate performance.

STG’s classes are based on the Dance for PD® method developed by Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Parkinson Group. The Bellevue class connects that approach with Pacific Northwest Ballet: STG’s program page says Naomi Glass leads its Dance for PD® classes at PNB.
Glass danced with Houston Ballet for a decade and retired at soloist rank. In 2020, she received the Royal Academy of Dance’s Professor Joan White Award for research on creativity, expressivity and movement for people with Parkinson’s disease. That is program-level context, not confirmation that Glass will teach every Monday session.
