Costumes are welcome at Boo!seum, where families can move between carnival games, art activities and a Halloween scavenger hunt at the Mississippi Children’s Museum. The celebration takes place Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Jackson.
Art, games and a hunt
The museum lists Spooky Spin Art, Monster’s Ink Temporary Tattoos and the Halloween Decoration Scavenger Hunt throughout the five-hour event. Carnival Games, Sidewalk Chalk and the Imagination Playground are on the same all-day schedule.
Mississippi Metahumans are listed as special guests throughout the event. The museum invites children and families to wear costumes, making Boo!seum a daytime option for Halloween dress-up.

Build a visit around a session
Families who want a scheduled activity can choose between Halloween Bingo and Freaky Food Lab, each offered twice. Know to Grow has one listed start, right at the beginning of the event.
The longer-running activities give visitors options before or after a session. The museum does not describe the specific food lab activity, so families with food-related concerns may want to ask before attending.
