Make a Linoleum-Block Edition at the Dallas Arboretum
A relief-print edition starts with choices about the image and how to transfer it to a block, not only with carving. At the Dallas Arboretum’s Nov. 8 workshop, Iron Frog Press instructors Matt and Sharon Bagley guide participants through those early decisions and the printing process that follows.
The image comes before the carving
The class moves from composition and image-transfer methods to basic linoleum carving, then to printing an edition. That order links planning to the physical block and the block to a run of prints; the session is an introduction to the whole process rather than a carving-only class.

A print with another use
The Bagleys will also demonstrate how prints can be adapted as cards and gifts. That gives the holiday theme a practical connection to the printmaking lesson, but it does not mean participants are promised to make cards: the event description does not identify the form of the take-home piece.
