Cemetery Gatez’s event profile traces a shift from a regional project to active touring after Dimebag Darrell died in 2004. The Pantera tribute is booked at Martin’s Downtown on Saturday, Nov. 21, with doors at 9 p.m. and a 10 p.m. performance start.
The Visit Jackson event listing bills Cemetery Gatez as the longest-running touring Pantera tribute and says the band has played since 2000. It connects the start of active touring to the period after Dimebag Darrell’s death in 2004, giving the Jackson booking a longer history than a single-night appearance.
Eventbrite describes the group’s reach as spanning the Midwest and Southwest, and names Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Illinois in its account of the band’s regional history. It also lists small theaters, fairgrounds and metal bars among the kinds of places the band has played. That context describes the touring project; it does not establish which songs will be performed in Jackson.
