The choice at Comedy Open Mic-on at Icon Lounge is whether to bring a stand-up set or take a seat for the show. Comedians are invited to prepare five minutes, while audiences can watch free at the Sioux Falls annex.
Sara Manson hosts the weekly open mic, with comedian signup before the show. For anyone planning to perform, the five-minute format gives the preparation a clear limit; the listing does not promise a particular number of spots or explain how they are assigned.
The event is also called Comedy & Cupcakes. Manson is the only performer named in advance, so audiences should expect an open-mic format rather than a published lineup.
