Trio Jazz Club’s live music grew from a Thursday-night tradition at R Wine Bar & Kitchen into a dedicated downtown Sioux Falls venue. Today, its ongoing series offers an early-evening show Tuesday through Saturday and a later option on Friday and Saturday.
After opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, Riccardo and Marybeth began hosting jazz there on Thursdays. Six years later, they established Trio as a dedicated live-music venue. The family-owned and family-run club opened in July 2024.
The weekly series gives listeners several evenings to choose from, while the extra Friday and Saturday performances make those nights an option for a later start. Check the dated ticket calendar for the artist and show time before settling on a visit.

The performances come with Italian food and drinks. Trio has its own food menu rather than serving the Maribella menu; the club also has a full bar, with cocktails, wine and beer listed among its drinks.
The club says it opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, ahead of the first regularly listed performance. Show-specific times and seating can be checked through the ticket listings.
