The Clay Center’s single-day camp for ages 7–10 is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with toy-engineering challenges, spinning toys and DIY bouncy-ball polymers.
All times are local to the venue · America/New York
Designing a marble run brings engineering into the program; gyroscopes and tops introduce the physics of motion, while making bouncy-ball polymers adds a materials-focused activity. The range gives children several ways to explore STEAM through familiar playthings rather than centering the day on one kind of project.
The announced activities move between designing and building, exploring how things spin, and making a polymer ball. That mix may help families judge the fit by a child’s interests: the camp connects play with engineering and physics as well as materials, without promising a single extended build.
The Clay Center describes Discovery Day Camps as classroom activities taught by its educators. For this Toy Science date, the event listing names the topics and projects but does not lay out their exact order.

The Clay Center’s general Discovery Day Camp schedule describes activity blocks alongside gallery visits, lunch and a snack break. It provides a sense of the camp format, not a Toy Science-specific itinerary. Families should plan around the full camp day rather than assume a particular project time or a drop-in workshop.
