At Capitol Market’s Mac & Cheese Cook Off, sampling is paired with a chance for visitors to choose a People’s Choice Award winner. The event promises recipes from classic to inventive, but doesn’t identify the chefs or dishes ahead of time.
The event description frames this as a chance to compare mac and cheese prepared by local chefs, then cast a vote. With no lineup or recipe list, it’s best approached as a tasting built around variety rather than a chance to try a particular chef’s dish.
The listing doesn’t explain how voting works or whether guests need to sample every dish. If those details—or the cost of tasting—would affect your plans, check with Capitol Market before setting out.

Capitol Market’s venue description distinguishes indoor specialty shops and food businesses from an outdoor market where West Virginia farmers sell seasonal items. That gives a sense of the broader setting, but it doesn’t establish which area will host the cook-off or identify any market vendors as participants.
