Both mornings of UAB’s Fall Commencement: Graduate and Undergraduate begin at 9:30, but they serve different groups of students. For graduates and guests, the important first step is to match the student’s academic unit to the correct ceremony—not just the start time.
Friday morning is for the School of Nursing and School of Public Health. The College of Arts and Sciences and Collat School of Business are grouped together on Saturday morning, so guests attending either morning session should double-check the date.
Friday afternoon’s group includes Joint Health Sciences, the School of Engineering and The Graduate School, among other units. UAB’s listing describes all three ceremonies as including undergraduate and master’s students from the named groups. If a student is unsure which listing applies, confirm the assignment with UAB before making plans.
