Family Saturday brings children’s art activities to the Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens on October 31, 2026. The morning session offers a way to combine making art with time among the Downtown Sarasota campus’s tropical plant collections.
A garden visit with a creative stop
Children can make their own nature-inspired art at several outdoor stations. Crayons, colored pencils, markers and colorful paper are among the materials; projects change from month to month, though Selby has not specified the October projects.
The activity takes place within the 15-acre bayfront campus, whose living collections include orchids, bromeliads and other tropical plants. Families who want to explore beyond the session can make a longer visit of it: Selby recommends allowing at least two hours to see the campus.
