Little Bear Ridge Road brings a family’s unfinished business to TheaterWorks Hartford
Selling a house sounds like a practical task, but in Little Bear Ridge Road it brings an aunt and nephew into contact with a history neither has resolved. TheaterWorks Hartford presents the play on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
A property decision with a past
The house at the center of the play is falling apart, and the prospect of selling it forces two estranged relatives back into each other’s lives. Their immediate decision opens onto questions about isolation and whether a family connection can be rebuilt after years of distance.
Hunter’s Tony-nominated play combines humor with the difficulty of confronting old memories. In Hartford, Travis Anderson plays James and Denise Cormier plays Sarah; Janelle Anne Robinson takes the roles of Paulette and Vickie, and Mishka Yarovoy plays Ethan.
