There is no race clock to beat at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K. The American Cancer Society’s North Texas walk returns to Klyde Warren Park on October 31, 2026, with participants able to stop when they need to.
A shared walk, without a race
The American Cancer Society says walkers who are unable to complete the full distance do not have to do so. The walk itself concludes when the last walker crosses the finish line, although the park lists a separate end time for the overall event.
The park calls this the 16th annual North Texas walk. Fundraising supports the society’s research, patient services and advocacy; the organizer also offers ways to sign up with a team or lead one.

A place for survivors and caregivers
The organizer describes a survivor area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them, where visitors can find information about American Cancer Society programs and services. An opening ceremony is also planned, though its time has not been announced.
Klyde Warren Park lists interactive booths, music and food trucks as part of the family-friendly gathering. The individual activities and their operating times have not been specified.
