North Pole Adventure Christmas Train brings holiday stories aboard the Chew Choo
On the North Pole Adventure Christmas Train, the ride itself is the holiday outing. The Charlie Russell Chew Choo’s approximately 90-minute seasonal trip includes stories, songs and games as well as a live visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
A shorter trip on the Chew Choo
Cocoa and cookies accompany the onboard activities on this annual Christmas-season trip. The train’s North Pole journey gives the program its theme; the visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus is part of the ride.
This is a different outing from the operator’s Montana Dinner Train, which is advertised as a four-and-a-half-hour trip with a full-course prime rib dinner, live music and western entertainment. The North Pole Adventure is the shorter, holiday-focused option; the dinner-train itinerary should not be assumed for it.

Getting to the train
Hanover Boarding Station
Board at Hanover Boarding Station on Hanover Road, Lewistown, not at the Chamber offices on Main Street. The operator says the station is about 10 miles and a 20–25-minute drive from Main Street and advises allowing extra driving time.
