One song is the scale of the invitation: New Song Music Academy teachers will offer a 15-minute lesson at Klyde Warren Park’s green piano, moving from a few basics to trying a song.
The activity is hands-on, not a recital. The park welcomes both first-time players and people picking up an old skill, and says no experience is needed. A quarter hour sets a modest expectation: this is an introduction, not a full course.

Its broader teaching approach includes technique, reading music, classical repertoire, playing by ear and music theory. That provides context for the teaching partner, but it is not a syllabus for this park lesson, whose stated focus is a few basics and a song.
