Black Holiday Market at the Ferry Building: Dec. 12, 2026
Raw honey and honeycomb from Bruthas Honey sit on the same announced roster as Belle Noire accessories made by artists from Africa and the African Diaspora, Greetings from Pearl paper goods and children’s books from Hey Carter! That cross-category mix makes Foodwise’s Black Holiday Market a place to browse for both food gifts and goods beyond the pantry.
Follow the roster from pantry goods to gifts
For sweets, A Girl Named Pinky lists cookies, mini cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and brownies; Cali Sweet Cakes lists mini bundt cakes and cookies. Bruthas Honey offers raw honey, honeycomb and honey sticks, while That’s My Jam lists low-sugar, pectin-free jams and gift sets.
The savory and drink selection includes hot sauce and pickles from Chef Sarah Germany; barbecue sauces, spice rubs, hot sauces, wine sauces and marinades from The Final Sauce; and herbs, spices, chicken-fry and fish-fry blends, mulling spices and hot cocoa from Goldi’s Gourmet Spices. Keep It Simple Juice lists fresh juices, ginger shots and herbal water. The Pleasure Principle Supperclub & Dining Events lists bottled sauces and frozen pastries.
Personal-care offerings range from Avocurl’s natural haircare to En Vie Naturals’ hand and body butter lotions, aromatherapy sprays, joint-pain relief creams and body washes, including holiday gift sets. Ice Body Skincare lists body mousses, oils, scrubs, soaps, bath salts, intention candles and room sprays. Bismillah Boutique’s listed goods are handmade crystal-embellished candles and skincare. The Bay Area business says it was founded in 2010 and that its products are handcrafted and made to order.
For gifts outside food and personal care, Belle Noire lists handcrafted accessories made by artists from Africa and the African Diaspora. CIK Apparel offers apparel and accessories; Cocoacentric, statement jewelry and accessories; and Melanin Gang, sweatshirts, hoodies and hats. Greetings from Pearl lists greeting cards, gift-card holders, gift tags, stationery and other paper goods. Hey Carter! brings children’s books, arts and crafts to the roster.
Foodwise advertises 20 Bay Area food makers and designers, but the current page names 19 businesses and says to check back for updates. Treat the posted goods as an announced roster, not a guarantee of every seller or product on market day.

A one-day market within a longer business pathway
Foodwise describes Pop-Ups on the Plaza as a quarterly series of one-day markets organized around a holiday or theme. The series is part of its Building Equity program, which gives early-stage BIPOC food entrepreneurs opportunities to test products, sell at Foodwise markets and build a customer base. Foodwise also says farmers markets have a history and reputation as predominantly white spaces; the program is one part of its work to make those markets more inclusive.
For an entrepreneur who is ready, and when market space allows, a pop-up can be followed by a month- or quarter-long market residency. After two successful quarterly residencies, a seller may be invited to join a weekly market; a vendor in good standing may later be invited to continue toward permanent market participation. Foodwise describes support that can include technical assistance, stall-setup help, promotion, reduced stall fees and help with permit costs. These are program-wide opportunities, not confirmation that every business on this event’s roster is enrolled.
The event page names In The Black, La Cocina and Mandela Partners as community partners. Their work offers local context for the program’s aims: In The Black provides affordable retail space for Black-owned businesses in the Fillmore, La Cocina supports food entrepreneurs with commercial-kitchen access and business assistance, and Mandela Partners works with Bay Area residents, farmers and community businesses on local food enterprises.

Browsing is the announced activity
Foodwise’s listing centers on the sellers and their products; it does not announce timed talks, demonstrations or performances. The roster is therefore the clearest guide for deciding whether to visit for sweets, pantry items, personal-care goods or non-food gifts.
The special market is in the Ferry Building’s south arcade, at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. The regular Saturday farmers market is listed for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; this event starts at 9 a.m. The two share a setting, but their hours are not interchangeable.

Parking and drop-off
The venue guide identifies the ProPark lot at Embarcadero and Washington and other nearby parking. Its listed ProPark rates are $20 non-validated or $14 validated for 0–1 hour; $29 or $18 for 1–2 hours; and $38 or $27 for 2–3 hours, with each additional hour listed at $9. Validations are available with purchases at most Ferry Building shops and at the Farmers Market Info Booth. Check with parking providers for current rates.
The guide lists accessible parking in lots serving the building, including spaces north and south of the building along northbound Embarcadero. It also says passengers may be dropped off directly in front of the building at either of two curb cuts. These are general venue details; the guide does not describe arrangements specific to the market’s south-arcade setup.
Bicycles and building access
The venue guide lists bike racks outside the building and recommends using a sturdy U-lock. Public restrooms are in the north and south ferry-terminal pass-throughs; both sets are ADA accessible. The guide does not specify access arrangements for this market’s south-arcade setup.
The venue guide says there are no lockers or storage areas for purchases, so bringing shopping bags may be useful. Foodwise lists 415-291-3276 as its general contact number for questions.
