Story Time in the Park with the Dallas Public Library: Dec. 16, 2026
A short storytelling session with the Dallas Public Library is set for Klyde Warren Park’s Sheila & Jody Grant Children’s Park. The park itself is a 5.4-acre deck built above Woodall Rodgers Freeway, linking Uptown, the Arts District and downtown.
A named spot in a central Dallas park
Klyde Warren Park opened in 2012 above a recessed stretch of freeway. Its central location connects several Dallas neighborhoods; this event is assigned to the park’s Sheila & Jody Grant Children’s Park, rather than to the Reading Room or one of its performance pavilions.

A recording notice applies to park visitors
The park says that entering constitutes consent for visitors’ voices and likenesses to be recorded and used without compensation for news coverage and park publicity. Its notice also says visitors release the park and its successors, assigns and licensees from liability related to that use.
Supervision and play-equipment limits
There is no attendant on duty. Adults must be accompanied by a child, and children must be supervised at all times. Only children 12 and younger may use the playground equipment; that is a facility rule, not a stated age limit for storytime. Dogs and high heels are not allowed. Equipment and surfaces can become hot in the sun, water shoes are recommended, and play is at visitors’ own risk. Follow park personnel’s directions and posted rules.
