An invitation is the first consideration for anyone interested in Tai Chi – Intermediate – Quarter I at Atlanta Botanical Garden. The course offers an hour of practice on scheduled Saturdays, with flexibility and balance among the Garden’s stated aims.
Harrell teaches the intermediate course in tai chi, a Chinese martial art. The January-to-March series gives invited participants repeated class meetings rather than a single introductory session.
The Garden also lists a separate Tai Chi – Beginner – Quarter I course at its Atlanta location. Those looking for an introduction should check that course’s own details rather than assume it has the same registration requirements as the intermediate class.

There are two breaks in the Saturday schedule, on January 23 and February 13. The Garden’s education team can answer questions about the invitation requirement, preparation and the specific meeting point: email [email protected].
The Garden’s general class policy says programs run rain or shine unless severe weather threatens. Participants are notified of weather-related cancellations or postponements, and a class that cannot be rescheduled is refunded.
