A session for 4- and 5-year-olds and their adult companions connects stories, play and hands-on activities with an exhibition at the Hood Museum of Art.
All times are local to the venue · America/New York
At Storytime in the Galleries, a visit to the Hood Museum of Art begins with an invitation to explore art together. The November 7 session takes its inspiration from Holding Knowledge: The Tenenbaum Family Collection, an exhibition of contemporary Native American ceramic art.
The program brings children and their adult companions into the galleries for stories, play and hands-on activities connected to the exhibition. It is designed as an introduction to the museum as well as a way to encounter the art together.
The particular story and hands-on project have not been announced, so families should expect an exhibition-inspired session rather than a specified ceramics lesson.
