A shared 2024 tour connects the rockabilly veterans and the genre-spanning band on a Foxwoods bill that pairs two different paths into the style.
All times are local to the venue · America/New York
The Midnight Cowgirls say they spent the summer of 2024 opening for THE STRAY CATS on the band’s U.S. tour. Their Foxwoods booking brings that connection to Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Dec. 6, 2026, pairing a group associated with rockabilly’s early-1980s chart revival with a band whose stated range also includes country, rock, metal and post-punk.
The Cowgirls’ biography places the connection on the road: the band says it opened for THE STRAY CATS during their 2024 U.S. tour. That history gives the Foxwoods pairing a point of continuity, while the two groups’ biographies describe different musical starting points.
For this edition, the event and venue listings name both groups. They do not publish a separate start time for The Midnight Cowgirls, so the shared bill should not be read as a confirmed running order or set-time announcement.

THE STRAY CATS formed in Massapequa, New York, in 1979. The original trio brought together guitarist and vocalist Brian Setzer, upright bass player Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom. The group’s biography traces its move to London in 1980, when a rockabilly revival was emerging there, before its early-1980s chart success helped put the style back into wider view.
Runaway Boys, Rock This Town and Stray Cat Strut are among the group’s recognized hits. They locate the band’s place in that revival, but are historical reference points—not a confirmed setlist for this Foxwoods performance.

The Midnight Cowgirls describe their sound across country, rock, metal, post-punk and rockabilly. Songwriter, bassist and fashion designer/stylist Jennie Vee conceived the group. Its listed members also include multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and lead vocalist Blaise Dahl; drummer, vocalist and composer Marlhy Murphy; and guitarist and vocalist Cassidy Fleeman.
The band’s biography also credits Sirius XM Outlaw Country with premiering two of its singles. It cites a 2025 invitation to open for Jack White and Eagles of Death Metal, as well as a performance alongside Nikki Lane at the Patron Desert House Stagecoach party. Those details add context to the Cowgirls’ own recent activity; they do not announce extra guests or a specific Foxwoods set.
