At Pemberley, a Christmas disruption brings the upstairs household and the servants below into the same conflict. ExploreLaCrosse lists a Nov. 12 preview in Lanesboro.
All times are local to the venue · America/Chicago
The story begins with a divide inside Pemberley: Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy’s family is preparing for Christmas upstairs, while servants work below. Lydia’s husband, Mr. Wickham, arrives without invitation, and the disturbance pulls both parts of the household into the unfolding conflict.
Wickham’s arrival is the hinge between the two settings. The listing describes him as drunk and dangerous, and says the disruption brings secrets and strained loyalties into play. The servants are therefore part of the story’s central collision, not simply background to the Darcys’ holiday.
The event description also points to class and forgiveness as themes. That gives the household upheaval a wider frame: the conflict concerns not only a broken Christmas routine, but how people across the estate respond when old tensions surface.

The production is billed as a companion to Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. This story keeps the Darcy estate and its holiday setting, while shifting attention to Wickham’s arrival and the consequences for people upstairs and below. The listing attributes the story to Gunderson and Melcon and describes its tone as witty.
