Nine HR departments have entries in this year’s contest, and the roster names each team alongside its creation. That makes the Great Pumpkin Contest both a themed display and a snapshot of the teams within UAB Human Resources.
Nine entries, nine department credits
The roster pairs Tin Man with the Employee Assistance & Counseling Center; Pirate Blaze with HR Information Systems; Wheel of Fortune with Talent Acquisition; Cruella de Vil with Talent Relations & Investigations; Bruce with Records Administration & Compliance; Game of Gourds with Learning & Development; Dolly with Benefits & Wellbeing; Blazer Lake with Compensation; and Bo-bomb with HR Central Support/HR Service Center.
Those attributions give the display a departmental angle: visitors can connect each named entry with the HR team credited for it, rather than encountering an anonymous set of submissions.

Six award labels, plus a closed vote
The HR page lists six distinctions: Craftsmanship (Certificate of Excellence), Originality Award (Certificate of Distinction), Most Creative/Innovative (Certificate of Innovation), Scariest or Funniest (Certificate of Distinction), Best Overall (1st Place Trophy), and Best Theme (Certificate of Excellence). The page lists the categories but does not identify which entry received each one.
The 2026 Fan Favorite vote is closed. The HR page does not name a winner.
