A vote for a favorite sponsored holiday tree gives visitors a role in Watertown’s Nov. 14 gathering, alongside caroling, treats and cocoa, and a Santa visit.

The sponsored-tree vote is the most participatory part of Watertown’s Holiday Tree Lighting: visitors can choose a favorite while Watertown High School Carolers, treats and cocoa, and a visit from Santa are also on the listing. The free event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, at Bentzin Family Town Square.
The listing invites attendees to vote for a favorite sponsored holiday tree. It does not explain the voting process or identify the trees, so the vote is best understood as an advertised opportunity to take part rather than a timed activity with published instructions.
Watertown High School Carolers are named performers, and the event also advertises treats and cocoa and a visit from Santa. The listing does not give individual times for any of those offerings.

The gathering starts at 5:30 p.m. The event’s calendar data lists 11:59 p.m. as its end time; the event announcement does not provide an activity-by-activity schedule or say when the tree-lighting moment takes place.
That leaves the timing of the caroling, Santa visit and tree vote open. Visitors hoping to catch a particular part of the program cannot use the listing to choose a precise arrival time.
