Children and Family Make and Take: Harvest Wreaths at Denver Botanic Gardens
Seed pods and autumn colors are part of the Harvest Wreath project, but the materials also include artificial foliage. That mix makes this a seasonal decoration activity, not an all-natural-materials craft.
A wreath made with a mix of materials
Each project includes one undecorated wreath form, about 8–12 inches across, and access to natural and manmade decorating materials. The listing names seed pods, autumn colors and artificial foliage, giving families a clear sense of the craft’s ingredients without promising a particular finished design.
The event is part of Denver Botanic Gardens’ Family Make and Take programs, which bring children and grownups together to create. The Gardens describes the program format as self-paced.

A garden hunt without a fixed route
After decorating, families can explore the Gardens with a fall scavenger hunt. It is self-guided, so this is an independent follow-on rather than a staff-led walk with a set route. That leaves families to choose their own pace and how much of the Gardens to explore.

The fee is per wreath
A project costs $24 for nonmembers or $22 for members. The fee covers one wreath form and access to decorating materials, so the number of project fees should match the number of wreaths your group plans to make. At checkout, you will also enter the number of adults and children attending.
The Harvest Wreath listing does not say whether the project fee includes general Gardens admission. The York Street ticket page lists general admission as free for members; $16.25 for adults; $12.50 for seniors age 65 and older and military members with ID; $12 for children ages 3–15 and students with ID; and free for children age 2 and younger. Timed entry must be reserved in advance. Check with the Gardens about how admission applies to this program rather than assuming the project fee includes it—or that a separate admission charge is due.
