Collectors' Choice 44: Judi and Robert Newman Gala at the Denver Art Museum
At the Denver Art Museum, one visible part of Judi and Robert Newman’s support is a studio where visitors of all ages take part in artmaking. Collectors’ Choice 44 honors the Newmans on November 12, 2026, with proceeds supporting the museum’s exhibitions and programs.
A museum studio built around making
The Robert and Judi Newman Family Foundation Studio hosts public programs, weekend artist demonstrations and hands-on activities inspired by the Denver Art Museum’s collection and special exhibitions. That participatory work gives the gala’s tribute a direct connection to experiences visitors can join, rather than support limited to the museum’s galleries.
The Newmans have also supported museum campaigns. Their names appear on the Newman Ellipse and Newman Overlook, spaces used for gatherings that include school groups, community partners and event guests. Their cultural philanthropy also extends to programs and spaces at the University of Denver, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Denver Botanic Gardens.
