Music By KOTA with For Eve at Martin’s Downtown, Nov. 20
This bill crosses the two Jacksons: Music By KOTA, from Tennessee, is booked with For Eve at Martin’s Downtown in Mississippi on Friday, Nov. 20. The listing names both acts but does not say who performs first.
A Tennessee band on a Mississippi bill
Music By KOTA is a five-piece from Jackson, Tennessee, a city the event profile places between Memphis and Nashville. The band has played together for more than a decade and has performed at bars, listening rooms, corporate events, festivals and clubs across the Southeast. That background gives the bill a regional touring context; KOTA is not based in the Mississippi city where this show takes place.

Style references, not a song list
The event description characterizes KOTA as Southern rock with a modern indie influence. Its comparisons—Kings of Leon, Mt. Joy, Houndmouth, Whiskey Myers and Red Clay Strays—offer reference points for the band’s general sound, not a forecast of what it will play on Nov. 20.
KOTA’s general profile mentions both original material and covers, but does not identify songs for this performance. Treat that as background on the band’s repertoire rather than a confirmed setlist.
