Choose a material as well as a Halloween character at October Halloween Drop-In Crafts: the projects range from weaving white yarn on a shaped loom to decorating a pumpkin cutout. AMC Collective offers the drop-in crafts on Saturdays through October 2026, with supplies included and no experience required.
From a shaped loom to a glowing jar
Ghost Weaving starts with a ghost-shaped loom and super-bulky white yarn. For a different kind of character, Witchy Owl combines a pinecone body with felt features and a witch hat.
The two pumpkin choices use contrasting materials. The Halloween Cutout Pumpkin is decorated with paint or markers; the Pumpkin Jar uses orange tissue paper, a custom vinyl jack-o’-lantern face and a battery-operated tea light. Think about whether you would rather paint or draw on a cutout, work with yarn, or assemble a character or jar when choosing a project.

More crafting at the collective
The drop-in takes place at AMC Collective’s year-round artisan marketplace and creative studio. Alongside workshops and crafting, the Sioux Falls space features handmade goods from local makers and a pre-loved supply room with new and gently used craft materials.
The collective’s maker directory includes Cheryl of Catch A Drip Coasters, whose woven coasters can incorporate cross-stitch patterns, and Kathryn Daniels of Ouch I Felt That, a needle-felting artist. They illustrate the range of work associated with the space; the Halloween listing does not identify instructors for these projects.
