Toast and aisle dancing are welcome at The Fargo Theatre’s October 30 screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The theater is also inviting moviegoers to dress for a costume contest before the film, with prizes on offer.
Before the film
The costume contest takes place shortly before showtime, giving attendees a chance to dress as characters from the film and compete for prizes. Doors open well before the contest, so those taking part can plan to arrive ahead of the screening.
The story begins with a newly engaged couple whose vehicle breaks down in an isolated area. Looking for shelter, they arrive at the home of Dr. Frank-n-Furter.

What to bring—and what to leave home
The theater encourages audience participation and permits guests to bring their own props. Its event-specific guidance allows throwing toast and dancing in the aisles, but excludes rice, lighters, hot dogs, confetti and alcohol. Bags will be checked at the door.
Prop bags are another option: the theater plans to sell a limited number at the door for $5 each, separate from the ticket. The theater’s general policy prohibits outside food and beverages; toast is specifically permitted for this event.

Broadway and parking
The screening is at The Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway North, Fargo, ND 58102-4715. The theater lists nearby street parking, surface lots and parking ramps. It says all four ramps have elevators; the Civic Ramp elevator is in the Radisson.
