Wood on the Street: Sharpening Social at Craft Contemporary
A chisel or blade that needs attention is the starting point for Wood on the Street: Sharpening Social. Rather than making a new object, participants will spend the afternoon caring for their own tools alongside other hand-tool enthusiasts.
Maintenance with room for questions
Craft Contemporary’s outdoor gathering is built around sharpening and conversation. Participants are asked to bring both the tools they want to work on—chisels, blades and other woodworking tools are named—and their own sharpening equipment.
Sharpening expert Camerino Velasquez will be present to support participants and answer questions. The event is a chance to attend to your own tools in company, rather than a listed project-making class; no particular sharpening method or sequence of instruction is specified.
