Art For Two: Make Clay Dishes with Autumn Impressions in Little Rock
The plant forms in this Art For Two workshop are not just a subject for decoration: leaves, stems and greenery are pressed into soft clay to make the impressions themselves. It is a one-night project for two, with each participant creating a piece to collect after the dishes are glaze-fired.
The pattern is made in the clay
Instructor Lily Warren will guide participants in pressing leaves, stems and greenery into soft clay. The process makes the plant impressions part of the dish’s surface, rather than an image added later.
AMFA describes the project as autumn-themed and says no previous skills are required. Materials are included, so participants do not need to supply their own ceramics materials.

A class for two, with a piece for each
Art For Two is set up as a shared class experience, but the finished work is individual: each of the two participants takes home a piece. That makes the format suited to a pair who want to make side by side without combining their work into one object.

Wear clothes that can handle an art class
For safety, closed-toe shoes are required in all studios; sandals and Crocs are not allowed. Tie back long hair so it does not catch on powered equipment. Wear comfortable clothing that can get a little dirty and is not too loose. Do not wear loose jewelry, such as necklaces or earrings; rings can also interfere in some studios.

Entrance and arrival time
Use the Windgate Art School entrance: follow the covered walkway to the double doors on the left and press the call-box button. Security will ask which class you are attending.
The entrance is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Students may exit after 8:00 p.m. but cannot enter then; arrive before the cutoff for the 6:00 p.m. class.

No. AMFA glaze-fires them after class and estimates pickup about four weeks later; no specific pickup date is listed.

It is a separate offer: present the registration receipt at Park Grill for a complimentary appetizer, valid for one year from the workshop date.

What happens if I miss the class or weather cancels it?
Windgate does not reschedule individual missed classes or prorate or refund those fees. For a weather cancellation, it schedules a makeup class.
