The Oklahoma City Museum of Art welcomes military families for three days of free access, with public activities and a separate free-admission offer for all on Sunday.

November 6–8, 2026. Museum hours: Friday and Saturday 10:00–17:00; Sunday 12:00–17:00. Saturday card-making 10:00–13:00; Sunday storytime 13:00–15:00 and Drop-In Art 12:00–15:00.
A thank-you card made at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art will have a destination beyond the galleries: the museum says it will send visitors’ messages to service members deployed overseas. Card-making is among the public activities during Fall Military Appreciation Weekend, November 6–8, 2026.
Saturday’s Card-Making Station invites visitors to make thank-you cards. Sunday’s Drop-In Art in Founders’ Hall is also described as an opportunity to make cards for deployed service members. Both activities are open to the public.
Sunday offers a different way into the collection, too: Storytime in the Galleries combines a story with a chance to explore the art on view. The museum has not named the story, so visitors can choose it as a gallery activity without expecting a particular book or artwork.

Active-duty military members, veterans and their families receive free museum access throughout the weekend. The event is part of a seasonal collaboration between OKCMOA and USO Oklahoma, with weekends across summer and fall 2026 and winter and spring 2027.
On November 8, the museum’s separate November Access for All day also offers free gallery admission to visitors of all ages. Free tickets for that Sunday can be reserved beginning November 1. The reservation link is for Access for All, not a confirmed booking link for Friday or Saturday’s military-weekend offer.
