A sheet of paper can become a collage, a book or a sculpture in Pressed, Printed, & Folded, a Saturday class at The Joslyn Art Museum. The 2026 series gives young artists several ways to work between flat and three-dimensional forms.
Students will cut, tear, fold, sculpt and print as they make paper-based art. Alongside collages and books, the projects include sculptures and pop-up relief artworks, giving participants a chance to explore paper both as a flat material and as a structure.
Teaching artist Stephanie Carlson-Pruch will guide the class as students incorporate elements and principles of design into their work. The four-session series is part of The Joslyn’s broader studio program, which offers classes and other art-making opportunities for children and adults.
