At The Joslyn’s Highlights, the people leading the tour also choose what it focuses on. Gallery Volunteers select works for that day, so the November 8 conversation is designed to move across the museum’s gardens and galleries without promising a fixed list of stops.
The museum describes this as an interactive conversation intended to help visitors pay closer attention to art and build visual-literacy skills. The volunteers’ choices give that goal a different focus from one tour to the next: visitors can discuss the works selected for that afternoon rather than follow a published checklist.
That format may suit visitors who want a guided way into looking at art but are open to what the volunteers bring forward. The listing identifies no particular artworks or route, so the tour is not a reliable way to see one specific piece.

Gallery Volunteers select the works and guide a discussion around them. The museum says the focus varies between tours and is meant to help visitors develop their looking and interpretation skills.
The tour meets at The Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE 68102. The museum’s Sunday hours are 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
